Hi readers! Happy Tuesday to you!  I’m always excited to see what Laura Bassen cooks up for us for our monthly features with her, and do you want to know the best part? She never disappoints! Not one time. Her work is so cheery, and this card in particular has temporarily catapulted me to Spring! That is… until I walk outside. ;)

Be sure to watch the video tutorial on the You Make Me Smile card using new Abby’s Spring Shower clear stamps and Spring Showers dies from the new Hop to it collection as well as a special sentiment from the Card Exchanging Friends stamp set, and enjoy!

  1. Laura, this card is adorable. I love how you colored all the pieces with Copics. I have not used them yet, but as soon as I purchase some…watch out! Lol. Thanks so much for your cards and I love listening to your stories of your family as it makes me feel like we’re talking over a cuppa while you show me how to make lovely cards!

  2. Your card and your video MAKE ME SMILE. Your little story is so funny and brings back memories….each day the big discussion, when the kids were growing up, was not “what’s for dinner” but “what’s for dessert”? Their Dad was in on that, too! And Jello was not considered to be a dessert! :) Your card is so adorable and I love this sweet stamp set so much. Abby is one of the cutest little girls out there and not too cutesy, just right!

  3. Laura your husband is a keeper. The backyard skating rink was a highlight of my young life. Yes, even we girls wore black hockey skates. We weren’t tripping over the pick on white skates!! And yes, I am Canadian. Thanks for another one of your “my life is real” stories.

  4. It is always a pleasure to watch Laura’s videos. Not only is she a talented card maker, she’s a down to her bones, HOOT & a HALF. Needless to say the card & Laura delight me.

  5. Laura, you crack me up! I was laughing and grinning and remembering as I watched you color this cute card–and you are an awesome copic colorist, love the hair! I grew up in the Midwest, and the hockey gear, snow pants scenario reminded me of my growing up years. Now I live in sunny AZ, my kids grew up here and instead of hockey gear we had swimming gear and musical instruments everywhere. Mine are all grown up, so enjoy the noise and the mess and keep on cooking!

  6. I NEVER miss one of Laura’s videos because on top of being so talented, her stories make me smile! These stamps are too cute and what fun to have matching dies!!!

  7. So bright and colorful on this cold, wintery day! You warmed me right up with this adorable card, Laura! Always love your videos – thanks for another fun one! ♥

  8. I love Laura’s work and I love this card she created with such a fun stamp set and coordinating die set, which I agree is super great! Love her coloring and the bright and cheerfulness of the card, makes you smile!
    Thanks for sharing,
    Anita
