You Color My World

SSSNatKalbach01

Hi readers! Happy Saturday! I was blown away when I asked Nathalie Kalbach to guest on our blog that she didn’t make just one card… but FIVE!! The colors and artistry are absolutely beautiful and I hope you love them as much as I do! I’m feeling quite inspired!

Enjoy!

When I designed my n*Studio stamps for Stampendous! I wanted them to be perfect for Mixed Media and Art Journal projects, but also versatile enough for other projects like cards and scrapbooking layouts. I do love how you can use them for a different set of cards in a more abstract way…with more or less paint :) Let me show you.
For this Birthday Card I used my circle Stamp from the Stampendous! Mish Mesh Set and stamped with Archival Ink on some card stock to create the flower head. I then colored the grid with a water brush dipped in different Lindy’s Stamp Gang Spray Paints. For the stem I used a Versamarker Pen and painted with the brush side the stem and leaves. I heat embossed the stem and leaves with Stampendous! Aged Green Embossing Powder. For the sentiment I used a Pen to write it on card stock, framed it with the pen and cut the words out. I mounted the sentiment on Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L 3D Foam Squares.

For this card I stamped with Mish Mesh and Archival Ink onto the right side of the card. Then I stamped with the circle stamp out of the Wired Set onto a piece of white card stock which I had previously sprayed with some Spray Paint. Again using a water brush I painted with different shades of Green and Blue over the stamped Mish Mesh Image on the card. I cut out the circle and applied a handwritten sentiment on top of the circle. I mounted the circle on a 3D Foam Pad slightly touching the stamped image on the card.

For this card I used again the Mish Mesh Stamp Set – this time the Burlap stamp and stamped parts of it on three sides of the cards. I colored it in with some Spray paints for a watercolor effect. Using Versmark I stamped with the paint drop stamp from my Grunge stamp set and then heat embossed it with Aged Green Embossing Powder. I wrote the sentiment directly onto the card.

Each of my Stamendous! n*Studio stamp sets comes with a free template which widens the possibilities to use stamps and stencils together. For this card I used the template from the Mish Mesh set and brushed over with a water brush and spray paint. I then used the Wired Circle Stamp and stamped with Versamark on the upper corner of the card. I heat embossed with Aged Black Embossing Powder and then repeated stamping overlapping the other image, this time heat embossing with the Aged Green Embossing Powder. Again I wrote the sentiment on a different piece of cardstock, cut it out and mounted it to the card with 3D Foam Squares.

And last but not least a grungy card. For this card I sprayed with water sprays on top of the card to get a colorful background. After everything dried I used the background stamp from my Grunge stamp set and stamped with black archival ink into the middle of the card. I waited a little bit before stamping again – slightly to the right with versamark and the same image. I heat embossed with Aged Green Embossing Powder. For the sentiment I again wrote the words on card stock framed them and mounted them with 3D Foam Pads on top of the card.
