Happy World Card Making Day from Simon Says Stamp—It’s a holiday created just for all of us!

The best thing about World Card Making Day is not only making cards, but the idea that there are people all over the WORLD making cards, too. These people share our passion for creativity and happy mail. In the spirit of this connective nature and to celebrate our favorite holiday, we’ve compiled a video showing card makers like you sharing their love of creating with others!

World Card Making Day was created in 2006, and the original purpose was to kick-start the holiday card making season. Chances are you make lots of cards for Christmas, but we all know that those beautiful cards don’t come together in one night. So grab your scissors and adhesives and cardstock and stamps and make some cards today! Your family can fend for themselves, right? You deserve to celebrate.

And of course you are looking for inspiration to get those Christmas cards started, so here are some beautiful projects for the holidays and Halloween and birthday, too, created by seven talented makers from seven different countries across the globe.

  1. It is still 10/3 here but I’m working on cards right now. Probably still be working on them 10/4. Happy to be making cards!

  2. Finishing up 1 birthday card and have 2 more to go, then hoping to play with the Tim Holtz Christmas kit. Busy! Busy!

  3. Stamp it SATurday! Thank you for inspiration. I am working on a fall card (a weekly bag of 75) for a wonderful short/long term care facility in our area!

  4. I am making 50 holiday cards for a wood carving group. Getting started early! I want them all to be different! It has been a fun challenge so far because they are for all denominations so they have to be generic but still full of the holiday spirit!

  5. I am working on 2 different thank you cards. One is thanking our friends for letting us join them camping so the card is s’mores themed❣️

  6. Going to start working on my sister’s Halloween Card so it’s done before she gets here in a couple of weeks (so I don’t have to hide while I’m working on it as I usually don’t get it done til after she arrives lol). Problem is TOO many ideas…

  7. Happy WCMD!!!! I’m working on some Tim Holtz coffins for candy fr my kids!!!! Amazing inspiration !!

  8. Using the day to plan my Thanksgiving place setting cards and cookie tray tags. Can’t wait to get started!!

  9. Happy Word Card Making Day! I am happily creating Halloween, Christmas and fall themed cards today! Love the beautiful cards shared in this post today!

  10. The link is not working for me for some reason … after I upload & enter info & check boxes, the ‘thingy’ just keeps spinning and I never see my card. I have never had a problem entering your challenges (I enter both most weeks). I’ve tried Chrome, firefox & ME browsers… any suggestions? Thank you!!
