Wish You Were Here

Hi bloggers!  Happy Wednesday to you! I’m thrilled to have the amazing Kelly Rasmussen back on our blog as a guest designer with another fantastic card featuring some great BasicGrey products! I definitely have a few people in mind I would like to send this card to!  Below, Kelly tells us more about her inspiration to make the card.

Enjoy!

BasicGrey has so many wonderful embellishments to go along with their collections and right now I am especially loving Carte Postale. While I was flipping through all the amazing embellishments in this collection I came across the multi-colored chevron acetate die cut and just knew that I had to use it. From there the rest of the card fell in place by adding a chipboard sticker, wood veneer die cut and a strip of patterned paper all from the Carte Postale collection. To finish off the card I coated the wood veneer geotag with some Glossy Accents and added a scattering of clear sequins.

  1. I love the colors on this, but am particularly drawn to all the arrow shapes and notches. Everything flows so nicely. Well done

  2. I never use these kind of elements on cards because I don’t think I would be good at it. LOL I need to step out of my comfort zone and try. Thanks for this fun inspiration.

  3. Beautiful card!! I have been a huge fan of BasicGrey for quite a while now. I don’t make cards but use their papers in collage and they never disappoint!
