Vintage Love Notes Using Distress Watercolor Pencils: Let’s Get Crafty With Caly!
Hi everyone! It’s Caly Person here today!
If you haven’t used Distress Watercolor Pencils much, my card today uses them to create this soft watercolor background. This card uses products from the February 2025 Card Kit – Vintage Love Notes.
I used Festive Berries and Worn Lipstick Distress Watercolor Pencils to watercolor a panel and then stamped the Vintage Love Notes images with Ground Espresso. Be sure to click on the video below to watch how I made this watercolor background.

To distress the edges of this panel, I used the Tim Holtz Paper Distresser. To give it more color on the edges, I used Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink to blend some color on. Then using the Tim Holtz Idea-ology Palette ephemera pack, I sewed a piece on and attached two others with 3D foam squares. I also stamped a sentiment before moving on to the border.
The frame is a white panel embossed with the Pinnacle Hearts Embossing Folder. I added some Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink to the edges here as well to emphasize the embossed areas.
I hope you enjoyed this card! Thanks for visiting!
