Use a Mix from Your Stash to Create a UNIQUE Valentine: Yippee for Yana
Hi friends! Please join me in welcoming back the oh-so-talented and amazing Yana Smakula! (Please note: our dear friend Yana is Ukrainian. To show support to our brothers and sisters in Ukraine, please see Yana’s post HERE.)
Hello, crafters, this is Yana Smakula for Simon Says Stamp! Welcome back for another Yippee For Yana video! Today I’m mixing stamp sets and making a Valentine’s Day card. Come join me!
I combined 3 fabulous stamp sets to create this project. First, I used the mega-size speech bubble from the “I Was Wrong” stamp set, although I didn’t actually stamp the speech bubble, but used the coordinating die to cut the speech bubble shape out.
I also used the image of the girl and colored her hair to look like mine using E51, E13 and Y11 markers (). Next, the speech bubble housed a sentiment from the “My Love Greetings” stamp set. I stamped “You Are My Person” and “Happy Valentine’s Day”, these fit inside the speech bubble perfectly.
I covered up the “o”s by using little die-cut hearts created using the coordinating dies from the Around The World set. I also added a little paper plane and envelopes. Those were stamped in black ink on white paper and colored with C3 and C1 markers for a bit of shading.
This is a super fun card to make – you can use a girl or a boy and color them to look like you or someone generic. Have fun stamping!
