The CUTEST Snowman Card + a Fun Way to Add the Look of Snow to Holiday Projects: Crafty with Caly
Hi friends! Happy Tuesday! If you’re anything like this me, this sweet card design by Caly Person will make you SMILE! Keep reading, and watch the video tutorial below to learn all about it!
Hi there! I’m so excited to share today’s card with you! I love winter cards and this card is a little bit of everything I love about paper-crafting: paper-piecing, simple stamping, and the snow/frothing technique!
The Peeking Snowman from Hero Arts is so cute. I used the Winter Foliage dies to create a winter spray to add texture to. The snow/frothing technique uses a combination of Glossy Accents and White Puff powder. Apply some Glossy Accents where you want “snow” to be, add the white puff powder while it’s still wet and heat-set it! The heat dries the Glossy accents and puffs up – amplified by the white puff powder (you can use regular white embossing powder for this technique, too). Check out the video to see this technique!
WATCH THE VIDEO:
Some pearls give the snowman’s eyes and holly berries texture. For the background, I stamped the Jingle Bells Script for a tone-on-tone look. The sentiment is then stamped using the Winter Foliage set.
I hope you enjoyed this project! Thanks so much for stopping by! ~Caly
