In my house there are a lot of comic books, my husband reads and collects them. The style of comic books and graphic novels was the inspiration behind this card. Often I create scenes on my cards but it’s an extra challenge to tell a story as well. This little card shows the story of baking a sweet birthday cupcake! I also love that it allows the use of so many of the cute images in the new Lawn Fawn Baked with Love set. For a card like this I do stamp/sketch out the design to make sure things fit on the card. I started with the card front as a whole and then trimmed off the panels and the negative spaces in between to get all the pieces. I blended all the backgrounds with distress inks then arranged my colored cut out pieces to create the little scenes.

What a cute stamp set. And this card is super. I love the way each image is on it’s own compartment yet all the colors tie them together. What a wonderful idea to do this. I love how well the coloring is done and the colors used. GREAT JOB!! TFS
Well it most definitely tells a story, absolutely adorable. Of course if I made this card this story would be a big fat lie, because if I bring a cake its going to be made by Betty Crocker lol. I love it, I really do, its so pretty and I love the comic book set up of it.
