Studio Monday with Nina-Marie: Easy Texture with Watercolor + Thanksgiving Scene!

Hello crafty friends, it’s Nina-Marie Trapani here with you and I have a Fall/Thanksgiving card to share with you today. I’m using our new Mushroom House die because I thought it was cozy and perfect for a the Autumn season!

I watercolored the die with my Prima Watercolor Confections, making sure to add texture and detail to things like the top of the mushroom, stem and rocks. The Simon Says Stamp Stitched Maple and Stitched Oak Leaf dies are layered in multiple colors behind the mushroom for that Fall vibe!

I wanted to continue the colors on the card into the background, so I used Distress Oxide inks to blend Walnut Stain, Crackling Campfire, Wild Honey and Peeled Paint for that warm Autumn look.
For a sentiment, I went with something simple and just gold embossed the word “blessings” from CZ Design’s All The Thanks stamp set.

This cozy card would be perfect for sending to family and friends for the Thanksgiving season. You could change the sentiment to reflect exactly what you want to say. Be sure to watch the video to see how I made this card!
