Also Heidi, the donation to the Huntingtons Disease Foundation is amazingly generous! As a RN, I appreciate the need for this research. I’ve always been interested in several different disease processes or disorders and Humtingtons Disease is one of those. I had a group of students I assigned to four members of the same family living on the same wing in a SNF. I wanted the students to understand that nursing is way more than fancy equipment with all the bells and whistles!! It’s about making a DIFFERENCE in someone’s life that day. This is a heartbreaking genetic disease and more research is vital. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
