Simon Says Stamp was founded in 2002 with an interest in exclusively selling rubber stamps. It didn’t take long until we realized we couldn’t stop there. During the past 10 years we celebrate rubber stamping in its full glory by giving access to people around the world to a one stop shop. However, rubber stamps still remain the heart of our business and we are celebrating by hosting a
“STAMPtember™” event intended to inspire, educate, and celebrate the greatness of rubber stamping. Part of the enticement of rubber stamping is that stamps can be used in creating or complementing ANYTHING! From stamping dates on bank documents and postage parcels in the early 18th century, rubber stamping has dramatically exploded to include card making, scrapbooking, mixed media and many forms of altering and expressing art.

What better way to kick off a month of stamping than with STAMPS!  We have been working for many many months to bring some very special products to the market.  Generally we only introduce our own stamps in our monthly card kits, however, this is a very special month and we wanted to do something extra special for YOU!  To celebrate STAMPtember™, Simon is bringing exclusive wood mount stamps, clear stamps, and wafer thin dies to you!  Several of the wafer thin dies even coordinate exactly with our stamps.

The wood handle stamps are more than stamps!  They are a treasure meant to be displayed, gifted, and cherished.  As a functional rubber stamp, they are a great way to introduce non traditional stampers into the art.  All you need is a little ink and BAM!  Kelly Purkey designed  these 6 new stamps just for Simon.  I’m taking my washi addiction to the next level with this “washi tape” rubber stamp!  My favorite is the “With Love From Me To You” design.  Stamped on your art or given to a friend as a keepsake, this one will bring a happy smile to everyone’s heart. As part of our STAMPtember™ release party, Kelly also designed 2 fabulous clear stamp sets.  “Autumn” and “Rad” are available now!

Can you ever get enough Sentiment stamps?  You spoke and we listened!  Many of you rave about our Simon teammate and designer, Kristina Werner’s lovely handwriting, so we asked Kristina to create a set full of only sentiments in her handwriting.  She was clearly up for the challenge!  It was love at first sight for me folks.  What do you think of her “Handwritten Sentiments” new stamp set?   Another beautiful thing about these stamps is that they are manufactured by our friends Ted and Michelle Cutts and their team just up the road in Cleveland Ohio.

We couldn’t stop at just a sentiments set. It was time to bring Simon to the party! After all, he is our mascot!  He is now the proud feature of his very own “Stylish Simon” stamp set.  I think he needs a “Simone” girlfriend set too, what do you think?

Inspired by our logo and mission statement, “Where the Heart Is” stamps and coordinating die set create a home for for us all.  The set includes window and door designs complete with a picket fence and fluffy cloud.  Kristina’s card brings the set to life.

A very special friend inspired stamp and die set “Sayings with Banner”   The banner is featured in Kristina’s card above and is a 3 dimensional piece once folded.

 “Apothecary Labels” has been a huge hit!

I love this “Talking About You” set.  It speaks for itself with perfectly coordinating stamps and dies that are versatile enough to mix in with many other stamps and dies you might have in your stash.

The “Absolutely Edge” stamps and die is a clever and unique idea from Kristina.  In Jennifer McGuire’s card below, check out how the die actually cuts on the edge of the paper allowing you to stamp your custom sentiment underneath. Jennifer also added the new “Air Vent” die to her card.  (If you are a card kit subscriber, you might recognize this design from our custom boxes.)  The hearts are from the new “Holiday Shapes” die.

If you know Kristina Werner, you know she loves her nail polish!  Isn’t this the cutest way to incorporate nail polish into none other than…. A CARD!   This curved “Party Banner” set of dies is extra special.  From the detail tie strings at the end to the hearts that pop out of the smaller banner tags, it was strategically designed to fit a standard card perfectly across.
