  1. That die is gorgeous and will work beautifully after Christmas too – love that! Beautiful use of colour and the texture from the snow is the perfect finishing touch! Already subscribe, thanks for the chance Karen x

  2. I am so happy you showed how to layer without the partial die cutting. I could do it this way. Love the card and the holiday carols.

  3. I just got this die set in the mail …. I love this card design. I like the card with the poinsettias – gives it that extra pop if you want it, but I think it would also be beautiful without it — so really it is nice to have options.

  4. I adore that Village die set, Laura, and have put it to good use this Christmas. What I haven’t done yet is use one of those domes – off to Hobby Lobby! Thanks for the songs, guys!

  5. Really love the snow scene with the buildings and especially showing us the way you did the buildings. They look so much more realistic that cutting the all the way out and adding them to hills. It is a great card and loved the singing!!

  6. LOVE this! As a bonus, I love that you’ve used R02, 05 and 08: my favorite reds of all time! :)

I think I do like the poinsettias. They add a pop and make the card look really classy!

  7. Truly enjoyed the video!Stunning card….now too what you say about being a CAS card maker..sure is hard to know when to stop!

  8. Gorgeous Laura!! I love it with or without the Poinsettias. Whatever floats your boat girl! it’s all good! :D tfs

  9. lovely! I think the poinsettias add just the right pop of colour to the card. I’m so stealing your idea!

  10. What a beautiful card. I like the poinsettias, glad you put them on. Thank you for sharing your card and your children singing.

  11. All way gorgeous creation Laura! This die is so beautiful and versatile, love the sea glass BG and how you created the hills is very nice, and lovely carol singing in your kids charming voice, enjoying the video:)

  12. There is a VHS tape of my brother and I singing xmas carols (1985-ish) and my parents convered it to DVD! Oh boy….. I loved your card and the video was fantastic; I’m going to try this today!

  13. This is beautiful and I like the added poinsettias. I have a similar die and want to try a village scene card now that I’ve seen this one. The video was great and what made it perfect was the Christmas music……priceless! :)

  14. Oh, those little voices melted my heart! Loved hearing them sing the Christmas carols! ♥ And wow! Laura’s card is gorgeous! Love the addition of the tiny poinsettias! Gives a beautiful pop of color!

  15. Love these village dies Kristina designed and absolutely love how Laura used them here…beautiful card! Laura’s kiddos singing Christmas carols…priceless!!

  16. I LOVE this! It’s gorgeous! I will be CASEing this for my cards this year. The video is great and I love hearing Laura’s kiddos singing. Their ad-libbing of Jungle Bells was so adorable. I like the pop of color that the poinsettias add.

  17. Sorry, I wanted to add that my brother used to say ‘oh what fun it is to fah in a one horse open sleigh’. That’s right. Fah. So now I’m a VP and he’s a green beret/doctor; your kids are going to do great :)

  18. Okay first off your kiddos are so cute. Thank them for me.
I LOVE your card both ways, with and without the poinsettias, LOVE your sweet scene. Thanks for sharing.

  19. I enjoyed your children’s version of Jingle Bells! The card you made is really nice and I thought the flowers added a nice touch as the colors complimented the sky color. I like my cards to be fairly uncluttered but the flowers did not detract from your card at all, in my opinion.

  20. Wonderful carolers – thank you little Bassens :-)

Laura, absolutely amazing. I am always very happy to see your “soft/subtle blue skies” ;oP
I tend to be a very CAS card maker but I’m glad you put the poinsettia’s on your card – really was a defining touch!!!

  21. Love this card!! I bought those dies and made some Christmas cards using them. Love them! Your children were adorable as always!! I struggle when to stop on a card too. I loved it without the added flower, but it certainly gave it a pop of color. I don’t think you could go wrong either way Laura!! Hugs!!
