I’m excited to be sharing a Father’s Day card on the Simon blog today. This card is all about stamping. I stamped a triangle image from the Hourglass stamp set using several of the SSS exclusive inks to create a colorful pattern down the side of the card. The sentiment is from the Father’s Day stamp set. This card is hubby approved, so it passed the masculine test and verified my assumptions that men, indeed, do love rainbows as much as women.

  3. Wonderful card Laura! I have to agree – some of the guys really do enjoy a bright & bold card! And like you, I’m a total sucker for a great rainbow design myself ;-) Love the card!!

  4. WOW! This is so striking and trendy…love it! Thanks for the tutorial showing how she got this effect!

  5. Yay, Laura rocks, love her work! Great card Laura! At first glance those long triangles actually looked like triangles, but then after watching it form, they kinda looked like sheets of paper stacked on top of each other!

  6. Awesome Awesome card! Love the colors, the idea, and the grid paper is such a cool idea. I have some of it and I plan on using it for card making purposes from now on. Thanks Laura!

  7. I just love how colorful this card it, so many times masculine cards are muted or are done in dull colors. Great work!
