Spring is here and I’ve got flowers on my mind – I knew I wanted to use our new Scandinavian Prints stamp set to create some unique flowers of my own!  To start I chose a few of the flower and leaf stamp elements, and stamped them in Versafine Onyx Black ink to create my flower and leaves.  While they were drying I got my card base ready.  I used my Neenah Solar White to make a little 4×4 card.  To create the window opening, I used my circle die.  For the black background I cut a piece of black cardstock slightly smaller than 4×4 and adhered it to the inside of the card front.

Once I knew the black ink was dry, I used the solid stamps in the set to add some pops of color to the flowers and leaves!  Then I die cut the flower and leaves, and used the foam tabs to arrange and adhere them on the black background.  I finished the card off by stamping the sentiment.

This card would be great to make multiples of for a card set, just changing up the flowers, colors and sentiments used!

  1. It’s so simple but it’s not. I like how the background is black and then there is some color on the flowers. It looks very 60’s and that’s what I like about the stamp set. I grew up in the 60’s so anything I see that looks like the 60’s is okay in my book.

  2. Wow, this card design feels so fresh and calming. There’s something about Scandinavian inspired florals that makes everything look clean without feeling cold. I love projects like this because they show how a simple layout can still feel special and thoughtful. I started making handmade cards a while ago, and it taught me that tiny creative moments can completely change the mood of a day. Sometimes choosing paper and colors feels as satisfying as finishing the card itself. I have even ended up on pages like https://shutterfly.pissedconsumer.com/customer-service.html while comparing print ideas. This one really captures that cheerful handmade charm in such a lovely way.
