Ranger Alcohol Inks

Hi everyone! Welcome back to the blog. It’s Shari here to show you an older technique that I’ve just discovered.

I was is AWE of Tim Holtz’s brilliant use of canned air to get splatters with alcohol inks. Did I say Brilliant??? It’s amazing, fun and honestly a bit addictive. I couldn’t wait to give it a try.

I used six colors of alcohol inks and also Pearl Mixative. All this was done on Ranger’s Glossy card stock.  After adding color to my paper, I used a couple rub-on sheets to complete the look.

To finish things off, I added my greeting with the Chiseled Industrious letter stickers and some stained Crinkle Ribbon. Be sure to check out the links below for all the colors I used.

I put together a video of the process, hope you enjoy!

Thanks for stopping by today!

  1. Definitely gave me some inspiration. Never saw the ribbon technique or using the canned air before. Thanks.

  2. This card looks great! I think it is fun to try any technique that is new to me, no matter how long others may have been doing it. It is great you didn’t let the fact that it is one that has been around awhile stop you, because I, for one, enjoyed getting to see it!

  3. good morning, I need help on how to what to do with tim holtz industrious stickers. I am new to this type of craft, Tuesday morning had this for a very good price, so I bought a pack. any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you so much.
