Prima Travel Tags!
Hi bloggers! We are so excited to have Sharon Laakkonen of Prima Marketing on the blog today, sharing an amazing travel tag set that she created with Prima products. Enjoy!
First, thank you to “Simon Says Stamp” for this sweet invitation to join them for STAMPtember®. With ALL of the amazing stampers out there I was seriously humbled to be asked. I do not think of myself as an accomplished stamper at all. However, I am quite an accomplished stamp collector! And when I think of where to go to buy “stamps” SSS jumps to my mind first! (Have you seen their selection? Wowza!)
Second, I am a mom of seven kiddos and a Nana to two little girls…so I have a lot to scrapbook! I work full-time for Prima in this amazing industry. I love all aspects of crafting and, especially, love to travel & teach. I think it’s the sharing of a common hobby that is so fun no matter what language you speak. You can see more of my work, lots of family pics, and a few travel photos here on my blog.
Finally, I am so excited to show you my travel tag set! (I warned you that my stamping is basic, right?) I love the look stamps can give to a project though…there’s just nothing else out there like it. The first Paris tag is for my youngest daughter, Breanna, who happened to get engaged to her sweetie, Will, while I was teaching in Paris last April!
This photo shows the tag half-way done so you can see the basic construction. I have this habit of changing my mind as I scrap. So, yes, I did cover up some of that gorgeous border stamping. And I decided to use flowers instead of the sweet Parisian gal….but I love how it turned out in the end! Pssst: SSS carries this “Welcome to Paris” stamp set (part of the collection which my second daughter, Brittany, designed for Prima!)
I love Paris and and been so lucky to be able to go there a few times so I might just keep this next tag for myself. It features one of Prima’s newest stamps from Prima’s Optimist collection which was just released! Isn’t the paper collection simply Divine! The greys and peaches really makes me happy…yep, I think I need to keep this tag for sure!
Thank you for letting me share a bit of my creativity with you today! ~ Sharon

I forget about using shabby chic colors and style in my 12 x 12 pages and cards but you’ve inspired me to make a set this weekend. Beautiful job.
