Hello everyone! It’s Nina-Marie here with you today, sharing an easy interactive card idea that also features products from My Favorite Things!

Interactive cards are so much fun to not only make, but also to give… I personally love seeing the look on the recipient’s face when they see a card do something completely unexpected! In today’s video I am going to be showing you how I created a pop-up panel inside of a card; these pop up panels are also commonly known as “explosion cards”. It’s easy enough for kids to create, and all you need is a piece of paper to make one!

For these cards, I used products from My Favorite Things and Simon Says Stamp. The pig stamp and sentiment are from the My Favorite Things Hog Heaven stamp set; I also used their Basic Stitch Lines dies to add stitching detail to the edges of the card bases. The cards are also decorated using the new Love and Quotes stamp set and Love Is background stamp, both from Simon Says Stamp. All these products matched up perfectly together and created really cute Valentines!

  1. These pigs are so so so adorable!! The pop up element looks easy enough to make. I just don’t know whether to decorate the entire inside with different sentiments, or how to decorate, other than the scattered hearts. I would have liked to see how the inside was decorated.

  2. These are cute and would be perfect for Valentine’s Day cards, and the technique would be great for other occasions, too! I learned this pop-up card technique so long ago that I had forgotten it. Thanks for the video sharing it again.

  9. Thank you so the demonstration. I have tried many times to make such an insert (like the old cootie catcher) but this is the first time the movements were clear enough to me to complete it. You are the best!!
