One Stamp, Five Ways: Swoopy Flowers

Hi friends! Happy Tuesday, and happy last day of January! That first month sure flew! Keep scrolling to see 5 ways to make our NEW Swoopy Flowers set to life in such beautiful ways by the one-and-only Suzy Plantamura! Enjoy!

Today I have a “one stamp, five ways” post to share with you using a stamp set from the new Kisses release. Considering I often say I love flowers and I love to color, I think the Swoopy Flowers stamp set is an obvious choice for me! I also love that this stamp set comes with a set of matching dies as well as a stencil so you can ink it instead of coloring! I used a different coloring tool for each of the other 4 cards in my post to give you lots of different ideas. Here are my five cards:

I stamped all of the floral images in what I call my “random stamping” technique. I stamped them with Latte Ink, but I ended up outlining them after coloring them with a fine tip black marker, so let’s just say I stamped them with black ink haha. I then colored them in with Copic markers in many bright colors, just the way I like!

I die-cut this piece and attached it to a white card base. I then stamped the “thanks” sentiment in black ink and die-cut it out with the matching die. I stamped the smaller sentiment on a SSS Sentiment Label Die and attached both to the bottom of the card with foam tape beneath them. I added some sparkling clear sequins around the sentiment.

I stamped the larger floral grouping once and then all of the other flowers and leaves multiple times with Intense Black Ink. I then colored these in with Karin Decobrush Markers. These are an opaque paint in a brush tip marker and so fun to use! I add white over almost all of my colors to lighten the middle of them after painting. My white pen is going to be used up really quick! I added some details with a white Uniball gel pen. I die-cut all of these images out with the matching dies.

I die-cut a piece of white cardstock with a rectangle die and attached it to a blue cardstock card base. I then rubbed some Heather PSI in the center of the card, keeping it really soft. I arranged all of the stamped images into a wreath shape. I stamped the sentiments from the stamp set with black ink in the center of the wreath. I added some Nuvo Drops around the wreath and some jewels in the center of the flowers.

I stamped the larger floral group stamp twice with black ink. I then used the matching Swoopy Flowers stencil to color these images in. I used the Trio 13 inks for the leaves and the Trio 11 inks for the flowers. I added some lines on the flowers with a white Uniball gel pen. I die-cut these out with the matching dies.

I die-cut a piece of white cardstock with a rectangle die. I then rubbed some Guava PSI on the center of it, keeping it really soft. I attached the two floral stamps to the top and the bottom. I die-cut the CZ Hi There die from raspberry red and white cardstock and layered them. I attached that with foam tape beneath it between the flowers. I added some sparkling clear sequins.

I die-cut a SSS Mini Slimline Rectange Die from Arches Cold Press Watercolor Paper. I then embossed some of the Swoopy Flower stamps with white embossing powder on the bottom of this rectangle running horizontally. I painted the flowers in with Karin Brushmarkers. I then painted some water over the designs to bring some of the color out around the images as a soft wash. I flicked the actual markers over it to add some subtle droplets. I attached this to a light red card base.

I embossed the Happy Valentine’s Day stamp from the Forever Yours stamp set with red embossing powder and die-cut it with the matching dies. I used this sentiment because it fit across the top of the card perfectly. I then added some Nuvo Drops around the flowers in matching colors.

I made a card very similar to the first one so I could color it with colored pencils this time. As you know, I love to color! So I went back to my random stamping technique, but this time I used Latte Ink (well, last time I officially did last time, but let’s forget about that haha). I colored in the designs with pencils in my favorite colors.

I used the Lawn Fawn Just Double Stitching die around the edges of this piece and attached it to a white card base. I die-cut two of the SSS Sentiment Label dies, the smaller from white cardstock and the larger from pink cardstock. I stamped the sentiment on the white one and then framed it with the pink one. I attached them to the bottom edge of the card and cut off the extra cardstock. I added three sparkling clear sequins around the sentiment.

And there you are – five different ways to use this darling Swoopy Flower stamp set! As I said, I used 5 different coloring methods this time to show you all the tools you can use to color your stamps in action. Pull out one of your floral stamps and turn on your favorite TV show and have some relaxing fun! I like to color to Hallmark Movies myself since I don’t have to look up much to keep things straight!  I hope you have a wonderful month and a happy Valentine’s day! See you at the end of February! -Suzy

Thanks so much for stopping by, and thanks to Suzy for being our guest!

  1. Stunning cards … I know I say it every time, but this is one of my favourite of your blog features! Suzy does such an amazing job of getting the best out of one stamp set. And her colouring is gorgeous .

  2. I was constantly searching for a platform that could provide me with a flawless and continuous viewing experience because I enjoy binge-watching TV episodes. After experimenting with a number of online portals, I eventually discovered https://soap2day-hd-movies.com/ the ideal one that provided high-quality video streaming, a simple user interface, and a sizable selection of movies and TV series. My experience binge-watching improved significantly after that.
