Oh What Fun It Is!

Hi Bloggers! Happy Sunday to you! I’m excited to share with you a super fun card + video from the sweet & talented Jess Larsen! This fun shaker card combines some cool new releases from our Simon brand as well as Hero Arts & Lawn Fawn! Be sure to check out the video too for a great step by step of how to remake this fun card!

Simon’s holiday release combined with the colder weather has really inspired me to start my holiday cards! I send out Christmas cards each year, but instead of mass producing the same one, I start a bit early and usually have enough different ones to go around by December!  It’s fun to send a unique card to each recipient and helps me from becoming bored making the same card over and over again.
For today’s card, I used the two circles from Simon’s Suspension Tree die to create ornaments that I then filled with Lawn Fawn’s Peace Joy Love Sequins!  Shaker cards can be a bit intimidating, but they are really easy once you know all of the steps. Check out the video to see the whole process from start to finish!

  1. oohh—that’s a great card! Thanks for the video! I am going to try to make some of these for Xmas!!

  2. That was a really informative YouTube tutorial. It also allows anyone to make the card with what they have at hand yet clearly shows the products you used. You have a super sweet voice and the card is one I would like to make and or receive. Thank you,
    Carole

  3. Shaker cards look sooooo fun, but I have never had the courage to actually try one, yet. lol… Thanks for the inspiration!

  5. Wow! I just love this. What a great idea and card. I, too, make all my cards different because I think it’s more fun and so I start early and am always looking for great techniques. I will definitely be using this idea in some way! Thanks!

  6. Great card! Thanks for the wonderful video on how to make the shaker pouches too, great idea. I have not seen it done this way, but it seems easy enough to try myself. Thanks for sharing.
