Oh, Baby!

Hi readers! Happy Saturday to you! I hope your weekend is getting off to an awesome start! I’m always happy to have the sweet & talented Kelly Marie Alvarez of Lawn Fawn on our blog! Today, she’s sharing a fun take on a baby shower card with more of an autumn feel! Check it out!

I absolutely love making baby cards. They are so much fun to create! This one was a bit of a challenge for two reasons: One, the parents-to-be are waiting to find out the gender, and, two, the shower was in the Fall. I have a tendency to always make baby cards very Spring looking, so I decided that I could use Sweater Weather paper to help me give the card more of a Fall feeling. This collection is also great because it has both pinks and blue-greens which helped in making the card more gender neutral. I also love that this card layout could be used for so many different occasions by switching up the stamp set and patterned paper!

  1. Love the bunnies and love the way the grass is cut in the circle – nice idea to make a little compact scene that way.

  2. I love this card and the “Spring camouflaged look”.
I think that THE BABIES ARE THE SPRING OF LIFE, so it’s right don’t keep in mind of the seasons for these cards making…
I love the sweet bunnies, also!!

  3. So sweet! My grand-daughter is going to have her 2nd baby shortly and this would be just a happy card to send to her! Really cute! Thanks for the idea…!!!!

  4. Thank you for giving me the technique of putting small stamp images in a small space on the card. I always had trouble trying to work with the smaller stamps. Such a cute card!

  5. Lovely card and I love the slightly non-traditional colors for a baby card. I’m wishing I could afford those stitched rectangle dies…..they are great.
