NEW Ways to Bring Our March 2025 Card Kit to Life!

Hi friends! Happy Saturday! Please join me in welcoming special guest Heather Hoffman back to our blog showcasing some gorgeous card kit inspiration showcasing our March 2025 card kit! Read on and enjoy!

Hello! Pattern paper is a game-changer for card designs, adding that perfect touch of flair. I get so excited when monthly card kits include pattern papers because they open up so many creative possibilities for my cards. With a bit of cutting, trimming, and innovative layouts, the options are endless. Plus, they make it much easier to produce multiple cards effortlessly!

For these cards, I started off by cutting thin strips in varying sizes from the blue striped paper. I layered those on two white cardbases, then chose another piece of the pattern paper to trim apart and layer together until I liked how they all fit together. Trimming the sentiments off the bottom of one section of the paper was a fun touch to make it stand out more! I used some thin foam adhesive to adhere those layers down, curling up the edges of each piece slightly for added dimension and texture.

The other card, I used that leftover portion of the pattern paper, and trimmed down some other coordinating pattern paper. I kept the colors on that one completely to the two color families, plus white for a unified feeling. I adhered the paper layers down with a tape runner, then added the top layers with thin foam adhesive, again, curling up the edges of all for dimension and texture. I stamped some sentiments from the Tweet Friend stamp set in the kit using Brick and Dusk Pawsitively Saturated inks to match perfectly with the papers. I used the coordinating die (available separately) to cut the main sentiment (plus two extra layers to glue together for added stability and dimension for the sentiment). For the secondary sentiment, I trimmed it into a thin strip, then added banner edges by hand with my scissors.

To finish both cards off, I added die cut bows from the fabulous Pretty Bows die in the kit (I CANNOT get enough of it – so versatile and fun!!!), and added some Dazzling Gems in Dusk for a bit of sparkle.

How about you? Do you like using pattern paper?

It actually reminds me of how the SEP Portal works for teachers in Mexico, giving them different “layers” of tools to manage payroll, download documents, and organize important records, all in one place. Just like patterned paper opens up endless design possibilities, the SEP Portal makes managing work-related tasks simpler and more flexible, allowing you to create something efficient and well-organized from all the available resources.
