Mod Floral Dimensional Background – a fun way to say Hello!

Hi friends! Happy Sunday! Please join me in welcoming special guest Heather Hoffman back to our blog! She’s showcasing our BRAND NEW JUST RELEASED Groovy Flowers and Nuvelli Hello dies as well as a rather bold and beautiful color combination using our Rainforest, Honey, and Cream cardstocks! Be sure to read on for more details, and enjoy!

I love creating custom backgrounds on cards – while I love pattern paper, sometimes it’s fun to create your own design. The added bonus if you do it with die cutting, is that you can also add dimension if you so wish!

For this design, I first found a floral background with a color scheme that I liked on Pinterest. It was completely different flowers and arrangement, but it gave me a jumping off point for what I wanted to create! I used the new Groovy Flowers die, and cut all of the designs a total of 4 times each, mixing and matching between Rainforest, Honey, and Cream cardstock, then assembled the layers with liquid glue.

Once I had the flowers assembled, I chose Rainforest cardstock for the background. I usually tend to do more light tone backgrounds, but I kind of love the bold look on this design! I trimmed a panel to A2 size, to be later adhered on a white cardbase (wait until after adding the vellum, so you can hide it behind the panel).

I arranged the florals until I was happy with the layout, then adhered each one with foam adhesive. I trimmed a piece of vellum down to wrap around the front of the card to add my sentiment, then die cut the new Nuvelli Script Hello die from Tonic Honey Gold cardstock, and adhered it with liquid glue. Finally, added a few of the smallest size Dazzling Clear Gems clustered around to finish this card off!

How do you prefer to create backgrounds? Stamping or die cutting? Bold or light backgrounds? Leave a comment below letting me know – I’d love to hear!

  1. In today’s digital world, background and people search services have become essential tools for reconnecting with lost contacts, verifying identities, or exploring family roots. These searches compile data from public records, social media, and online databases, offering valuable insights into personal histories and connections. Whether for professional or personal reasons, such tools help users make informed decisions while satisfying curiosity. Platforms like MyHeritage provide specialized people search features, allowing individuals to trace ancestry, discover relatives, and piece together meaningful family stories.
