HOW TO Make a Special Mixed Media Vignette Box to Celebrate a Milestone Birthday with Shari Carroll
Welcome everyone!! It’s Shari Carroll here with a simple but meaningful mixed-media piece. This is a gift for my granddaughter Melody, who is turning 10 in a few weeks. I wanted to make something bright, cheery, and sparkly with a bit of interaction.
I’ve painted the edge of this piece with black gesso to make the colors pop. Having a contrast between the two really makes an impact. I also splattered black gesso on top to bring it all together.
I also added some color cardstock as a drop shadow for the glitter numbers. To see how this came together, check out my video below. Enjoy!!
