Merry Christmas with the Tim Holtz inspired Holiday Card Kit
Hello everyone! Welcome back to the blog. I’m so excited to share a card with you today using the 2013 Holiday Card Kit inspired by Tim Holtz. This kit is AMAZING!!! So much to play with and so many ways to use the items.
I used the watercolor paper with the Evergreen Bough and Iced Spruce Distress inks (included in the kit)… with some water to create a wintery background.
I thought it would be fun to use the tinsel to create a tree…. I’m all about trees this year. :o) It’s quick and easy when you use Tim’s Tiny Attacher. I finished it up with a silver embossed message.
I’ve put together a video of the process, hope you enjoy!
Thanks for stopping by today. Enjoy your day!
Great card and great video. Love the use of water on the stamp itself. Thanks for sharing.
Very pretty! Love the colors!
While this card is nice, I’ve got to say I’m rather disappointed in this year’s Holiday Card Kit. It si much more expensive than last year’s kit for one thing, especially for what is included. Many crafters already have things like glitter, Glossy Accents, spray bottles, etc. The 3 ink pads have been available for at least one previous holiday season, so they are not really that special. Four envelopes is not very many for the amount of use I’d expect to get from a kit this expensive.
Last year’s Holiday kit was a much more reasonable price, included a cute exclusive stamp set and die, and other fun trim and papers. I even purchased a second one as a gift for my daughter. I’ve been excited to see this year’s holiday kit, but it’s too rich for my craft budget.
I’m sure others will disagree with me, but I just wanted to put it out there. I’ve been a kit club member since almost the very first one, but this one won’t be part of my stash.
Gorgeous background technique.
Love your tinsel tree.
What an amazing card…it’s beautiful. TFS

My favorite cards. I started making my own cards about 15 or 20 years ago. I love it more every year.
