May Art Journal with Shari

Hey everyone! It’s Shari here with my May Art Journal feature.

This month I had a great time playing with sprays, glaze and Gelatos Oh My! The one thing I thoroughly love about journaling is letting myself go… experimenting to see what works with what… trial and error.

Even though this entry is one dimensional, layering several mediums (listed below) gives it a sense of depth… the more you look the more you see.

I used Tim Holtz Remnant Rubs as my inspiration, my journey, my mind… and how I’m scatter brained sometimes!

I have put together a full process video (sped up of course). Enjoy!

Thanks for coming by, I hope you are having a splendid week-end and Happy Mother’s Day!

  1. Love watching your Art Journal videos. I just love the colour combinations you use. Of course the “Tim” stamps & rub ins always finish off things Beautifully

  2. So creative! I love the colors and all the products! All of it is yummy! I love color so much that sometimes I’m happy just putting color on a journal page and that’s all!

  3. I’m not sure what I like the best – the colors, the rub ons, the stamps, but it’s beautiful.

  4. really enjoy your art journal series. amazing ideas and pages every month. thank you for sharing your talents and giving inspiration

  5. So much to see. Cool page, also love the colors. Is there a difference in using white paint instead of gesso for the background? Thanks in advance.

  6. I enjoy my art journal for the same reason. It’s a fun place to play where you don’t need to worry about the result.

  7. I just loved how you put this all together. I especially loved the use of the rub ons! Great page… very inspiring. Blessings, Suzanne :)

  8. I haven’t done much art journaling, but I love watching the process. Shari’s work is lovely and is one of the reasons I’ve put it on my to-do list when time allows.

  9. Green is not one of my favourite colours, but with the blue this is a stunning work of art, love how it all comes together. Thank you for sharing.

  10. I absolutely love those colours! One of these days I will try out some sprays, they look like so much fun!
