Make Holiday Tags Like No One ELF!

Hi readers! Happy Tuesday! I’m thrilled to welcome back guest designer Elena Roussakis to the blog today, not only because she is such a talented artist, but also because her creations undoubtedly make me smile when I see them! I hope you feel the same. :) Enjoy!

I wanted to show how it would be easy to change the look of the new Mama Elephant elves, just by hand-drawing them new faces. I took my craft scissors and actually cut out the existing faces, but kept them so I would be free to use them again, should I choose.

Once they were all colored and cut out, I put them to the side and worked on my double-layered tag. For the base layer, I used a cut-out of the classic stripe cover die as a stencil. I turned it so the stripes would be diagonal and used a dauber to sponge in the stripes.

The finishing touches involved adding the sentiments, assembling, and threading the twine.
