Hello friends! Today I’m sharing these fun Li’l Knot Bags using the Palette Multi fabric by Tim Holtz. I love how the fabrics go through the colors of the rainbow so when I used the ticket fabrics each side of the bag is a different color family with no extra effort. Bonus right? I also used the Palette Multi Ephemera with its beautiful vintage vibe with all the best ephemera pieces. I watched this video for the construction of the bags and they went together fast and easy.

Pin the pattern piece to your fabric.

Cut out the pattern pieces don’t forget to cut the notches. I used my Tim Holtz 9.5” Shears by Tonic. They work perfect for cutting the curves of this pattern.

Sew with right sides together (one lining and one outside each) sew the top handle portion from the notch up and the middle section using 1/4” seam allowance.

Turn both sections right side out and press the edges well.

Now turn one of the sections wrong side out and you will fit the other piece inside this one. They will be right sides together. Be sure to line up the handle seam.

Sew the handle with a 1/4” seam allowance.

Turn right side out and topstitch around the handle 1/8” from the edges.

Assemble bag now by placing the lining material right sides together and the outside right sides together. Pin and sew together with a 1/4” seam allowance. Leave a 4” opening at the bottom of the lining.

Turn by pulling through the hole in the bottom you left in the previous step. Sew the bottom opening closed. Stitch close to the edge. And enjoy!

How cute are these bags. They could be used to carry things, wrap up a special gift and even a purse.
