Large Numbers & Marker Lettering – Monthly Mail Art with Kristina Werner, November 2018

Happy Saturday, all! Kristina Werner here with another Monthly Mail Art. :)

For this month’s envelope, I wanted to try out stamping the large numbers in Concord & 9th’s Notable Numbers stamp set. I thought they would be perfect for the number in an address!

I stamped the numbers in Acorn Versafine Clair ink and lettered the rest of the address using a light brown Tombow marker.

NOTE: Address used with permission. Thanks, Rose Marie!

I used a mixture of current postage (the Lincoln stamp is a USPS Forever stamp), and unused vintage postage stamps from my stash. With the unusual style of address, I’m anticipating the need for additional postage, so the vintage stamps will cover that.

Thanks for stopping by! :)

  1. What an awesome envelope! I don’t know how you think of all of these ways but keep them coming Kristina. Simply amazing!

  2. This is gorgeous.. but does the mail office have to hand sort this kind of envelope? I would think their machine doesn’t read it? And then does it cost extra to ship? Just curious.

  3. What a fab way of using number stamps! I love this, and will have to remember about this for the future for sure! Thanks for this inspiration!

  4. I love her way of decorating envelopes. I never thought of it until I saw her videos. Each envelope I see is cooler!!!

  5. WOW KRISTINA, JUST FABULOUS.. IT LOOKS SO COMPLICATED AT THE BEGINNING, BUT AS YOU BREAK DOWN EACH SECTION.. IT LOOKS DOABLE..THANKS SO MUCH FOR ANOTHER AWESOME CREATION GIRL..

  6. I really love this envelope, so smart too, the colours are so beautiful, and your calligraphy is top notch!! thank you for taking the trouble to show us the “how to” and thanks to Rose Marie for allowing you to use her address. I am sure all the crafter’s will respect her privacy.

  7. WOw, you had better include something inside that is wonderful so the recipient isn’t disappointed after getting that VERY COOL envelope :) Nice

  8. This maybe your best envelope ever! How do you know how much postage to use? I never know, so I always have to go to the post office to mail my cards.
