January 2022 Card Kit Inspiration with Kristina Werner
Hi, all! Kristina here with some card kit inspiration! The January 2022 Card Kit is packed with so many fun supplies! For my card, I used the Warmest Wishes stamp set and the Fractured Snowflakes embossing folder.
There are basically three elements to my card. First, I added texture to the card by embossing white cardstock for the main area of the card using the Fractured Snowflakes embossing folder.
TIP: Lightly spritz your cardstock with a bit of water before embossing to soften the fibers of the paper. This prevents the cardstock from cracking when using a deep embossing folder. I used the Distress Sprayer from Tim Holtz.
The second element of my card is the ink blended circle. I cut a circle out of white cardstock and ink blended using two Simon inks: Hydrangea and Royal.
Lastly, the third element of my card is the cute snow people! I stamped the three images from the Warmest Wishes stamp set in Copic-friendly black ink and then colored them with Copics. (See the video below for the exact colors I used).
After all three elements were created, I was able to work out placement for the greeting stamps, which were white heat embossed. I also added white snowflakes, dots, and “sparkles” with a white gel pen.

Dear K and SSS – Love this card. I resisted getting the kit b/c of Xmas spending but I will add to cart ASAP if it’s still available. I really like these snowfolks. Love your ink blending.I also appreciate your color choices and how you add patterns like stripes and dots to clothing. Would love to have an ink sale on the “old” inks at SSS so I could round out my collection a bit.
