I See You…

Hi friends! Happy Tuesday! I’m pleased to welcome back the fabulous Heather Ruwe as a guest on our blog today! I love how she did some clever masking to place these over-sized glasses on the bird! Too fun!

Enjoy!

Hello, Heather here sharing a fun way to stretch the use of your stamps. I love combining stamp sets and on my card, I paired the glasses from the I See You Stamp Set with the bird image from the Stacking Animals Stamp Set. However, the glasses didn’t quite fit because they were too large. I did some masking to “fix” the problem.

I placed a post-it note down the center of the bird’s eyes and stamped one side of the glasses and flipped the mask over and stamped the other side of the glasses. Using the mask helped shrink down the size of the glasses. Any areas of the eyes that weren’t covered or looked off, I simply colored in with a black sharpie marker. Under the bird image, I white heat embossed a coordinating sentiment from the I See You Stamp Set. I die-cut a few hearts for embellishments from Audrey Blue card stock and white fun foam. I adhered the hearts on top of the fun foam and used a Copic maker around the edges to disguise the white and give it a seamless look.

I finished off the card by adhering everything to a SSS top folding white note card.
