Hi readers! Happy Wednesday and Happy April 1st to you!  Have you heard of Fineline masking fluid? If you have, have you used it? We thought it might be fun to have the amazing Shari Carroll show you not only how to use it, but also make a completed project using it! We shared this video about a month ago on our Youtube channel, and thought you (our blog readers) would also like to see it as well!

  2. Shari, neat video, beautiful card and I just learned not only more about masking fluid, but also washi tape (how to use).

  3. Love that gorgeous card and the Fineline looks like a cool product. Will have to check that out on my next SSS order!

  4. I have seen this masking product mentioned a lot lately in blogs. It’s good to see how it works. Thanks!

  5. I just love the black and white border and then the pop of color in the middle! Thanks for the video, it was very interesting.

  6. I love this idea. I’ve been searching in local craft stores for the Fineline applicator, but so far no luck in locating it. Now I’m on the search for the masking fluid!

  7. Awesome video…that sure is a lot better than cutting a mask out. Pretty card!
    Thanks for sharing with us!

  8. I love masking fluid but never thought to use a fine tip applicator vs. a paint brush. Must give this a try. Just purchased a couple fine tip applicators the other day for glue – Now I will have to buy more!!

  9. Your card is beautiful! Thanks for the wonderful masking tips.
Thanks SSS for sponsoring the hop and helping to raise Autism Awareness.

  10. The fineline tip does not fit the threads of the Glossy Accent bottle. It just sits at the top and does not screw down to the last thread. I would love to use this tip on my GA bottle but it won’t stay tight. What is the problem? I tried 2 bottles to see if perhaps the one was irregular but it didn’t fit either one. HELP!

    1. Hi Marilyn,
I just tried mine, I have the large bottle of Glossy Accents and the 18/ size cap. I wanted to make sure you have removed the applicator tip of the Glossy Accents bottle before putting on the Fineline cap. It comes off fairly easy with a twist and a pull or use pliers to grab it.

      Hope that helps.

  11. Thanks for the great tip. I have the fineline tips but did not fit my glues so I will be investing in the bottles.

  12. Thanks for the great tips on use of the fineline. I have wanted to try these for quite awhile. You’ve inspired me!

  13. Wow, this is great! Thanks so much for teaching me a fun new technique! And (y) for a lovely card!
