Holographic Snowflakes & Oxide Ink Blending with Kristina Werner
Happy Saturday, all! Kristina here. I hope your weekend is turning out to be wonderful! Today I have a fun card for you with bright and shiny holographic snowflakes! The Prismatic Snowflakes stamp set and coordinating dies were just calling out for holographic cardstock! I had to give it a try!
I stamped and white heat embossed all the snowflakes on one of the sheets of holographic cardstock from the assorted pack, and then used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I stamped every single snowflake from the stamp set.
For the background behind the diecuts, I used three colors of Distress Oxide ink (Shaded Lilac, Picked Raspberry, and Tumbled Glass) and ink blended them for an ethereal and smooth look. These colors mimic the colors from the holo cardstock so I thought they would be perfect.
To finish off the card, I stamped and embossed a greeting from the Holiday Greetings Mix 1 stamp set and then adhered all the snowflakes around it. Then I filled in the gaps with 8mm and 5mm sequins from Darice.
Enjoy!
