Holiday Photo Card Blog Hop with Shari Carroll

blop-hop-header

Welcome to the Holiday Photo Card Blog Hop! Today we’re hopping and showing you loads of ways to incorporate your cherished photos with your holiday cards.

I’ve created a card using a wallet size photo of my favorite girl…Melody. The photo slides out of the frame and so the recipient can place it in a frame, brag book or wallet.

The Simon Says Stamp Stitched Oval and Stitched Rectangle dies worked perfect for this size photo. I was able to tape them together and die cut in one shot. This idea would also work for a gift card holder.

I’ve created a video of how this card comes together. You can watch it below or on our YouTube channel.

  1. I’ve had my eye on the stitched dies for a while. I think they are going to be added to my wish list for Christmas! Cute card. I like the rustic feel if it.

  2. Really cute way to send a photo card. I don’t make them myself, but I do love to receive them. I have a refridgerator full of nieces, nephews, and now their kids! My grands are on the freezer!!! (my house is backwards, fridge in pantry, freezer in the kitchen.) Thanks for this fun one.

  3. This card is cute and I love that it could be used as a gift card holder too. Not as cute as the picture, but I love double duty projects!

  4. What a great way to share a photo with family and friends!! It definitely has bumped up my holiday inspiration!

  5. Beautiful card. Love the way you can pull out picture and you can even use it has an ornament to hang on your tree. Very creative idea. Can’t wait to try this idea myself. Thanks for sharing.

  6. Shari, this is ADORABLE!!! ;) I LOOOOVE the interactive cards & to show off your little Melody, this is PERFECT for Christmas!!! ;) SO ADORABLE! THANK YOU for showing us HOW you did this FANTASTIC CARD!!! ;)

  7. This new release is amazing. I have a Madonna and child calender, that I received last year mid December. I was not able to use it last year. So I am looking forward to using it this year.

  8. I just LOVE your adorable card for sharing a picture at Christmas. Just beautiful. Thank you for your great ideas.

  9. What a great idea! Definitely looking for inspiration for my holiday crafting…and this is the perfect way to get inspired!

PS: Going to start by casing the beautiful ornament border at the top of this post…cuz I love, love, love this color combo!!!

  10. Love the idea of a Holiday Photo Card blog hop. This is something I’ve wanted to do for a while and I know I’ll be inspired by the creations of all the contributors!
