Holiday Photo Card Blog Hop with Shari Carroll

blop-hop-header

Welcome to the Holiday Photo Card Blog Hop! Today we’re hopping and showing you loads of ways to incorporate your cherished photos with your holiday cards.

I’ve created a card using a wallet size photo of my favorite girl…Melody. The photo slides out of the frame and so the recipient can place it in a frame, brag book or wallet.

The Simon Says Stamp Stitched Oval and Stitched Rectangle dies worked perfect for this size photo. I was able to tape them together and die cut in one shot. This idea would also work for a gift card holder.

I’ve created a video of how this card comes together. You can watch it below or on our YouTube channel.

  1. As a grandma who can’t get enough of seeing her babies, I can tell you that for me getting this kind of card is the best.

  2. I love the composition and your subject is adorable! All of the elements add so much to the overall design and your final changes really made a big difference. TFS

  3. I love the color scheme and the pull out picture tag. The pull out picture would be great to hang on the tree! Such a cutie too

  4. a pull out ornament! How cute and I love the inter active part! Anyone would love to see this! a couple years ago, I made something similar for ornaments, black, white and red.You photo is adorable

  5. This is a lovely card and I especially like the way you have designed it so that the recipient can pull out the photo and keep it in their “brag book” (smile). Thank you for sharing.

  6. before stamping caught on in my craftroom I would use my photography on cards. Then when I got my vegetable garden about ten years ago I thought vegetables should feature in my photos, so I turned red tomates and green peppers with gold stickers into ornaments, I dressed up sprouts, turned onins into baubles etc. But I’ve never used an image of myself on a card, my fur babies maybe, but no other kind of family so no kids to dress up lol
