Holiday Photo Card Blog Hop with Shari Carroll

blop-hop-header

Welcome to the Holiday Photo Card Blog Hop! Today we’re hopping and showing you loads of ways to incorporate your cherished photos with your holiday cards.

I’ve created a card using a wallet size photo of my favorite girl…Melody. The photo slides out of the frame and so the recipient can place it in a frame, brag book or wallet.

The Simon Says Stamp Stitched Oval and Stitched Rectangle dies worked perfect for this size photo. I was able to tape them together and die cut in one shot. This idea would also work for a gift card holder.

I’ve created a video of how this card comes together. You can watch it below or on our YouTube channel.

Thanks for stopping by today… Happy Hopping!!

  1. Melody is getting bigger. Aren’t they such fun. Especially at the holidays. Wonderful card to fold your adorable photo. Thanks Shari.

  2. Wow, this card is super cute, I love the stitching detail on the framing and the removeable element as well, so clever!

  3. SO many great ideas here! I can’t wait to use the rectangle and oval together as you have. I love the idea of stamping BEHIND the photo, so the card is still beautiful even after the picture is removed. I would never have thought of cutting paper apart for the sentiments! And I need gift card holders, too. Thanks so much!

  4. I love how the photo can be removed from the card without damaging either one! Great idea and beautiful design!

  5. Too cute! We always send a photo (printed with a “Merry Christmas” message that I order from Sam’s or Walgreens. But I never thought of putting it into a handmade card. Neat idea.

  6. I massed produced last Christmas a beautiful photo card yo give to family and friends. Everyone loved it because it was made with love.

  7. Great idea! I like the idea of using a photo in a handmade card rather than a commercial photo card. This one is particularly fun since you can remove and save the photo easily.
