Holiday Gift Card Envelope

Hi all! Shari shared with you a great idea for a gift card a couple days ago, and I was inspired to create a holiday holder for a gift card, too! This time I used the Gift Card Envelope die and created a simple scene with trees…

I used some of the new Simon Says Stamp cardstock and inks on this gift card envelope. The red cardstock is Schoolhouse Red, and the greens are Green Apple cardstock and ink, and Green Leaf cardstock and ink.

Also, in the video I show how to extend the gift card envelope die-cut so that it’s slightly longer to accommodate larger gift cards or multiple gift cards (I put two Starbucks gifts cards in this envelope and there was room to spare). :)

Supplies

  1. Shoot, Mannie totally had me fooled today! I kept thinking it was one of my cats meowing, so I kept going “Dougal, what’s wrong?” I thought he was trapped somewhere, but then I realized it was Mannie on your video. LOL
Love the gift card holder – I’m stashing that idea away for future use!

  2. LOVE IT! Has SSS thought of making a die longer so you don’t have to manipulate the die cut? That would be a fabulous idea and one I would be interested in. :)

  3. Really neat gift card holder. Thanks for the inspiration and I think it could inspire a really cute Christmas card as well.

  4. Another funny cat story. We are having very cold weather (-37 with wind chill) and I thought I was hearing a kitty in trouble outside (I have a dog so my pet was safe). I was about to go and check around when I realised it was Manny and then you said Manny so I was quite relieved. LOL. I like this paper collection.
