When you want to add some new items to your stash without investing in patterned paper or a lot of items, I advise selecting two or three things carefully. This is my favorite way to shop as it lets me add a lot of variety without breaking the bank. Hi there, May Flaum here and today I’m back to share two projects using the new Basic Grey Herbs N Honey line.

What appeals to me so much about the waterfall embellishment pack is that I get die cuts, journaling cards, stickers and more all wrapped up in one item. I created this card by stamping the Astronomy background stamp onto cream cardstock, and then layering buttons, sequins, and bits and pieces from the waterfall pack.

I love the colors of this line and that I can use the more farm inspired pieces on cards, and just as easily use parts on my scrapbook layouts!

Patterned paper? Don’t need it! I cut a 4×6 journaling card so that I could have it extend on both sides of my photo on this layout.

I had so much fun with this page – and who knew the Herbs N Honey line would end up being the perfect choice for a layout about a computer game?!

I really enjoy the details of crafting – from stitching to flicks of mist to layering little bits and pieces.

I hope that you’ve enjoyed my projects today – and if you’re local to Columbus, Ohio I hope that I’ll see you at the Simon Says Stamp create event! I will be there the entire time creating up a storm all kinds of projects at my demo table and I’ve got some special goodies to share with people who stop by to say hi while they shop as well.

  1. Great card and layout! I love the texture of both. Waterfall pack is perfect for many different projects! This card and layout both remind me of hot summer days in the South, sitting on my great grandma’s porch drinking sweet ice tea with my cousins. Love it! Memories! I need that waterfall pack! Thank you for sharing these!

  2. FABULOUS card and layout May!!!
THANK YOU for sharing your TOP TIPS and CREATIVE INSPIRATION!!!
I LOVE the idea of cutting journaling cards in 1/2 to put either side of a photo – what a wonderful way to make the most of my stash :)

  3. Such a cute card and I love your scrap page! Awesome layout and love all the little details!

  4. I love adding sequins to my scrapbook pages as they are lightweight and yet add the touch of sparkle I sometimes need to complete a design. Fabulous projects shown here!

  5. Love how you used the same background stamp on the card and the layout (it looks super versatile!) My daughter loves Minecraft, too, and I also don’t really get the appeal!

  6. I like that philosophy of only getting a few pieces of a line and not the whole collection. It’s amazing what your creativity can do.
