Heartfelt Thanks

Hi readers! Happy Sunday! Please join me in welcoming first time guest designer Heather Telford! I hope you will join me in giving her a BIG & warm Simon welcome, by commenting on this post and thanking her for this fabulous inspiration today!

I’m so fortunate to have such wonderful people in my life that I find myself frequently needing a thank you card. I love this design and technique by Heather and might just have to give it a go!

Read on to learn the technique & enjoy!

I started by inking the “Fronds” background stamp with distress stains, spritzed it lightly with water then lay my white panel on top of the stamp. Once the panel was dry I added some text using a stamp from the “Love Chapter” set. I sponged some soft color onto the panel with distress ink. Finally I flicked some distress stains over the panel for a splatter effect.

I cut the “Perched” die from the panel (splitting it in two) then attached the two sections to the white card base to reveal a negative bird on a branch. I then attached the die cut bird and branch lower down the panel with foam tape and a stamped a sentiment.
