Thank you so much for having me back again for a guest post. So much fun! I thought I would show a art journal page with a little bit of texture and some fun paint media.
I used Derwent Inktense Blocks for the background and rubbed them over the paper of my art journal. Then I used a wet brush and blended all colors together.

I layered my Arabesque Stencil that I designed for StencilGirl Products over one corner of the art journal and started rubbing the Derwent Inktense Blocks through them. I dipped my finger into water and started blending the colors through the stencil

Then I stamped with black Archival Ink and one of my Stamps from my Wired Set with Stampendous several imperfect imprints onto the background.
This really makes the colors pop but also ties everything together.

Using my Arabesque Stencil again, I layered it over some areas and spread some Liquitex Modeling Paste over it. I used a palette knife and scratched the paste thinly over the stencil -but you can also use an old hotel key card.

Once the Modeling Paste was dried, I want back over the paste with the Derwent Inktense Blocks and rubbed gently over. Using my wetted finger again I blended the colors on top of the Modeling Paste revealing the texture and design.

And last but not least I used a wooden alphabet stamp set with black archival ink to stamp the quote that I had found on Pinterest that day and that spoke to me.

I hope you like the project and you will try some of the techniques out.
