Maybe our blog can help give you a bit of a slow down to enjoy and be inspired! This month Lawn Fawn’s own Chari Moss has made a very season appropriate card that I think you’ll love!

Is anyone else totally in Thanksgiving mode? I am, we are having our family over to our new house for Thanksgiving so I’m getting things ready to have our first gathering! So I was inspired to create a thanksgiving card for you today.  I wanted to create a big bold sentiment with the critters as supporting elements so I thought die cuts would be the perfect way to do that.

I stamped gingham backdrops in red Lobster ink on red cardstock for a tone on tone pattern and I chose cork for the scripty thanks for some extra texture.  I had originally planned on using the die cut letters for both words but since I had laid out my dies perfectly on the red I ended up with a perfect negative die cut that I liked even better!

The leaves and corn are from the happy harvest set and I just stamped them around in various inks to act like simple embellishment rather than sequins and then I finished it off with a little rustic twine along the top.

  1. Such a cute card! I love the little animals, and all of the accessories! Great way to combine sets too! TFS today.

  2. I really like the use of the fall colors and the way this card is put together. Eye catching and with great pops of color but not overdone or too sparse. You can never go wrong when using Lawn Fawn products. Love Lawn Fawn and Simon Says Stamp!
