Fun with Avery Elle!
Happy Thursday, bloggers!! We’re thrilled to have TWO amazing guests today on our blog representing some beautiful products & designs from Avery Elle! First up are a couple very pretty tags from Donna Mikasa!
Designer note:
Before I started putting the tags together, I die cut and stamped different flowers and leaves on colored card stock. It goes by faster this way and I did not take the flower dies apart so they would cut multiple colored cardstock at a time. The final finished tags measure approximately 2.5″ x 4″ each.
Supplies:
In addition, we have two amazing cards to share, created by JJ Bolton featuring Avery Elle stamps! There is even a sneak peek of a new holiday set coming out soon! Enjoy!
I put together 2 holiday cards using the stamps that I designed for Avery Elle. The first card uses the Avery Elle set Fill in the Blank along with the coordinating leaf icon die. Instead of using the die to die cut the leaves, I used it to create a stencil from vellum. Using my fall-colored Distress Inks, I used a sponge dauber to create a design of falling leaves. When using a vellum stencil, pounce the dauber over the stencil. Avoid using large circular strokes that would cause the stencil to come away from the paper. I like to hold my stencils in place with Post-It masking tape.
My second card uses a stamp and die from the soon to be released Avery Elle set Fill in the Blank Holiday! I die cut “MERRY” using gold card stock and placed it over strips of green and red card stock glued to the card front at an angle. Below the die cut, I stamped the coordinating stamp. I wanted to add a little extra something but the rhinestones and sequins I had on hand were just not the right tone of gold. So I used my Simon Says Stamp Full Card Bubbles die to create my own embellishments from the same gold card stock that I used for the “MERRY” die cut. Fun and easy!
