Floral Bliss POP of Distress Oxide Color!
Hi friends! Happy Wednesday! Thanks for popping by today! We’re here with a much needed POP of color during this harsh winter in Ohio! What is the weather like in your neighborhood? Kelly Latevola achieved this look by combining some watercoloring with Distress Oxide inks and stamped our fabulous Floral Bliss stamps. Some color shading was added with Copic Markers and the look was finished with a sentiment and some sequins. Be sure to watch the video, and enjoy!

Great video Kelly. I hate that all those things happened on your trip. I think this card is just really awesome and the how to was enlightening. Thanks so much!
Love that pop of color. Gotta try it out!!! Thanks for the inspiration
This is such a beautiful card!
OH, MY goodness, Kelly! What a horrible start to your Honeymoon. When I was young I would have gone anywhere, but now I am in my 60’s home is where I want to me all the time.
Your card is simply awesome!! Love all the beautiful spring colours :o)
Kelly’s coloring is awesome!
What a beautiful creation, thanks for sharing the video, I enjoy watching it from start to finish! It is amazing!
Oh ya, same here, I get motion sickness quite often, especially if I don’t sit in the front seat in the car. There was a trip from New York to Singapore, 19 hours flight, I literally threw out until I have nothing to throw anymore!
Love the pop of colour! Such a pretty card.
Gorgeous card. I kept thinking “it’s perfect,” then you would take another step and I’d think “now it’s perfect,” and so it went to the end of the video. I love the coloring, the style and the technique. By the way, it’s unseasonable cold in Texas, too (9 degres this morning), and we’re big sissies!
Kelly, stunning, watched the video twice, I love this and am going to try it, I just love coloring flowers with my copics but am afraid of watercoloring after watching this video this might finally be a way I can start being able to dabble in watercoloring then finish up with my copics. I adore how it came out, thanks.
Beautiful card! Loved all the different coloring you did! And I loved your story…you figure if a man could handle all that, you got a good guy.
Amazing blending techniques … I have worked very little with copic markers … just amazing with the oxides !!
So pretty and colorful!
Love, love, love!
I love seeing more ways to use Oxide inks, thanks
P.S. You poor thing … I don’t think I would want to travel after that either. Matter of fact I don’t think I have since the time they lost my luggage; got to my hotel room, bathroom from next room overflowed and flooded my room, they switch me to another room ( hotel was booked solid for a conference)it was next to a boiler room … I was so done ! I always fly in a day early when I go to these big conferences ( ministry) because something goes wrong. There is NOTHING worse than being at a conference where your schedule is tight; you have specific attire for various events of the conference and your luggage is in another state !!!
Will have to try this technique – what a gorgeous card !
Gorgeous blend of colors!
Gorgeous blending of color I love the final look of this card using the distress oxide inks
Such a work of art!
I always love Kelly’s artwork! This is stunning!
Such Bright and Beautiful colors! Perfect for those January cloud covered days.
Wow Kelly what a gorgeous card, I love the way you first used the Oxides and than your Copics.
Then your story, always enjoy them, I laught, I said ahh and feel pity for you and I can only say one thing: I know Murphys law and it’s often a part of our family’s life.
And than the weather…..Storm, rain, hail and sleet, tomorrow heavy storm by 3 degrees celcius, welcome to the Netherlands.
ooooooooooooooooooooooh wonderful colors!
Beautiful card, I LOVE how you coloured your beautiful flowers :)
Great video and one beautiful card. I love it! I’ll send you my address…………….
This would be great framed. I would find it hard to give away. Seriously.

Stunning effect, love these colours, Cathy x
Beautiful colouring!
These turned out great. Now I want to go home and play around with my distress inks!
I’ve never tried alcohol markers over watercolor but will give your technique a try.
Travel has become such an ordeal—rude passengers and crew, lack of padding in the seats, no leg room, extra charges, mis-use of overhead bins, etc. It’s taken all the fun out of flying.
Gorgeous colors Kelly!
Pretty card.
It’s amazing to watch this card come to life with the Copics and white gel pen!
Fabulous card! Sounds like your honeymoon was an adventure for sure.
Such a beautiful card! Love all the colors you used and thanks for sharing all the tips!
Love the bright colors!
The coloring on the beautiful floral spray is just stunning.
This is spectacular! Copics on top of DOX inks looks amazing. Thanks for the great video Kelly, and sorry you had such a bad experience traveling. I think your odds are pretty good that you would not have that type of experience a 2nd time!
What a stunning eye catching card, I love it. Definitely a technique I need to try.
