Falling for You

Hi readers! Happy Wednesday to you! I hope you’re enjoying your week! I just got back from visiting a much warmer part of the country, and while I loved my time in the sun, I’m happy to return home and await my most FAVORITE season of the year: Autumn.  What’s your favorite season?

I’m pleased to welcome Lawn Fawn guest designer Nancy Krueger to our blog with this great card using brand NEW Lawn Fawn products coming very soon and available for Pre-Order now!

Enjoy!

When I first saw the new Sweater Weather stamp set I knew I wanted to make this card. I thought it would be so fun to create a “changing of the seasons” panel with the Falling for You sentiment. It was so simple to stamp the leaves with the multiple leaves stamp and the single leaf using summer to fall ink colors. I blended on a bit of Tumbled Glass Distress ink in the background and some Mowed Lawn Distress ink to ground the trees. I rounded the corners of the the panel with my Corner Chomper then popped it up on my card base covered with pretty Sweater Weather paper. Green Sparkle Lawn Trimmings is the perfect finishing touch.

  1. Yippee! So fun to see Nancy sharing a card here today! It’s fabulous! What a neat idea to stamp a changing-of-the-seasons scene! Beautiful stamping, Nanc – just love it!

  2. So tickled to see Nancy’s card today! Love her transitioning trees! Well done, Nancy! Yep, fall is my favorite, too!

  3. How cute is that card! I thought at first you stamped each and every leaf until I checked out the stamp detail. Whew! Thank heavens they saved us that effort. Brilliant!

  4. What a sweet card! I can’t believe that those leaves are going to be coming down in just a couple months!

  5. Fall is also my favorite time of year. Believe it or not, the weather in north central Arizona feels like a lot more like fall than summer this week. Our high yesterday was only 66°! Your card looks like the way I feel right now. That stamp set looks like a lot of fun to play with!

  6. Such a lovely card! Great idea to change the color of the leaves on each tree to represent the approach of fall!

  7. Autumn is definitely my favorite time of year! Even in sunny Southern California we can detect a subtle change as the air becomes a bit more crisp and cool! Thanks for featuring my card today!

  8. With Summer being my favorite season, loving the warm to hot to very hot weather there’s so much to do outdoors plus, it makes my poor ‘old body feel good. Our winters aremalways somharsh! This card makes one look forward to autumn. The changing of the seasons is always beautiful and this card reflects that. Lovely.

  9. This is a cute card–just wish it were fall here! You must have visited us Stephanie, we’re still 100 degrees here in AZ and I know our crazy monsoon storm made the national news-we had crazy weather in AZ yesterday, with wind and rain and muddy water running down the roads, trapping motorists. My daughter is a teacher, one of the classroom buildings at her school had the first floor flooded, luckily she is on the 2nd floor of another building. Thanks for sharing this very cute card, I can “dream” of fall weather!

  10. Autumn is definitely my favorite season. I love everything about it…the weather, the changing of the leaves, the beautiful colors, cinnamon apple scented candles…I could go on and on! This card is lovely and just perfect to send as an Autumn greeting to a special friend.
