EZ with CZ: Simple Painted Die Cut
Hi friends! Happy Tuesday! I’m delighted to welcome back special guest Cathy Zielske with a bright and happy edition of our monthly series, EZ with CZ! Read on and be sure to watch the video for all the details! Enjoy!
Hey crafty friends! It’s Cathy Z. here with another installment of EZ with CZ! Today, I’m sharing a very simple painted die cut card that also includes a bit of dry embossing for some subtle texture!
Using Distress Ink cubes, I painted a simple rainbow blend onto some Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Cardstock. Then I cut the big a+ from that piece, and then adhered it to a white shadow layer.
I cut a panel to 3-3/4 x 5 and dry embossed some stars using the Fading Stars stencil for some fun background texture.
The result is so clean and simple. Here’s the video showing you how I created this simple card project:

Thanks so much for stopping by, and thanks to Cathy for being our guest!
This was a great card. You’re inspiring me to get out my oxides and do something like this. Thanks for sharing this great card.
Hi, Cathy Z (aka CZ) –
Thanks for sending love to teachers. This year is still difficult. In some ways, it’s easier than last year (participation is occurring, at least) but in some ways it’s tougher (these five are missing this week, next week a different five kids are missing, everyone has mask fatigue — and the expectation of excellence is almost gone now). But the good news is that we keep moving forward!!
Your card is fabulous!I love how you made it and it’s so beautiful with its rainbow pastel goodness!
