Emboss Resist Watercolor – Festive Holiday Card with Kristina Werner

For today’s card, I wanted to try out the emboss resist technique with layers of watercolor. To make it a festive card, I used the Painted Christmas Wreath stamps and red and green watercolors. And I love the result!
I first did a layer of red and green watercolor on watercolor paper and dried it. Then I stamped the wreath and clear heat embossed it. Then I painted on two additional layers of watercolor. The embossing resisted the paint, and left me with a tone on tone wreath.
The center of the wreath with the greeting was stamped and heat embossed with gold embossing powder, and then gold sequins were adhered.
