  1. I can’t help but wonder why the strip dies are necessary when you can easily cut strips with a trimmer or guillotine. Do you find there is a significant difference between die-cut and guillotine-cut strips?

    1. I’m curious too if there’s something I haven’t thought of. I get it if the ends are rounded or pennant cut or something like that. It’ll be interesting to see if someone has other ideas.

      1. Hi,
I would say that the edges are sometimes (for lack of a better term) beveled. They look more finished, more polished. And you don’t have to keep cutting a million strips… the machine does it for you.

I am not preaching… I don’t even have a die cut machine. This is just what I have picked up by watching videos and listening to comments of people like Cathy Z, Gina K, Kristina W, Laura B, Mindy E and more.

  2. I love the 2 doves card. I think it’s very heart warming and cute. We all need a little love during these hard times and the holiday season.

  3. I have come to the realization that I am a die-cutter way more than a stamper, so DieCember is a big favorite for me.

  4. I remember those old phones well, ours was bright red and was in the Hall by the front door. It had taken us years to convince my dad to let us have a phone in the house… he always said we had a perfectly good phone in the box at the end of the street. :-) Cheers for the memories lovely card

  5. I got a look at the products before the hop but I’m excited to see what everyone does with them. As usual CZ Designs never fails to put a smile on my face.

  6. I find the strip dies helpful to get perfect strips quickly. I feel like every time I do really skinny strips with my guillotine cutter, they’re just a little off on one end or the other.

  7. I look forward to DieCember. The rotary phone is my favorite.I also love the Doves.Actually there both beautiful.Thank you guys for teaching me so much.

  8. I always love to see what professional designers come up with so that I can be inspired to try new things. Thanks for arranging this hop.

And will you give my plastic a break, please? All this stuff is cool, but waiting kills me (I am doing it now) and spending kills me at this time of year. ;)

  9. I’ve already started another wish list with these new dies. Good thing my birthday isn’t too far away! The cards are so inspiring!

  10. SSS never ceases to amaze me! From STAMPtember through DIEcember this company puts out TONS of new products and kits! You guys are amazing!

  11. I watched Laura’s intro video of all the fun new dies. What a great assortment. Loving the cards presented on the blog and can’t wait to check out the hop. I love Die-cember!
