December 2018 Card Kit – More Card Kit Inspiration with Kristina Werner!
Happy Saturday, all! Kristina Werner here with some inspiration using the December 2018 Card Kit!
I thought it would be fun to create a small watercolor scene in the center of the card, so I first lightly penciled in the rectangular shape using a ruler. I masked off the bottom portion of the card with a bit of grid paper (temporarily held in place with blue painter’s tape), and then stamped the Santa image from the Christmas Cheer stamp set (available outside of the kit as well).
To make it easier to paint the area, I used blue painter’s tape around the rectangle so I could paint all the way to the edge. I used the dot card of Daniel Smith watercolor paints included in the kit to paint the scene. Super easy!
I then stamped and white heat embossed some of the snowflakes, and then stamped the small “Merry Christmas” greeting in black ink.
To finish off the card, I adhered some of the striped patterned paper from the kit on a card base made from the white cardstock, and then adhered the watercolor piece on top.
I hope you enjoy today’s video! I think this card design could be modified for a lot of other images in the stamp set!
