Crafty with Caly: Slimline Florals
Hi friends! Happy Tuesday! And welcome to the latest edition of Crafty with Caly! Be sure to watch the video for more details, and enjoy!
Hi Friends! It’s Caly with you today sharing a slimline card from the All the Feels Release! The Slimline Florals set is a gorgeous 6” x 8” set with two floral images. I used the single border image to create a frame for my sentiment over dark cardstock.
I stamped the border image twice and colored simply with Copic markers. Be sure to check out the video to see the coloring and how I get the card made!

Once the images were colored, I die-cut them and set them aside to work on my background.
Copic colors used:
- Peaches: R00, R02
- Browns: E31, E34, E37
- Pinks: R81, R83, R85
- Purples: V01, V04, V09
- Grays: C0, C3
- Greens: [G12, G16], [YG13, YG09], [G43, G46]
- Yellows: Y11, Y15
- Blues: B00, B04
My background starts with Soft Navy cardstock. I first embossed my sentiment in white, knowing I’d ink-blend around the outer edges with Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink and didn’t want a mess of embossing powder strays. After heat-setting my sentiment and ink-blending, I cut my panel down to mat a 3.5” x 8.5” slimline cardbase. This helps to clean up the edges of the panel too.
I attached my floral images using foam adhesive for dimension, framing my sentiment. To finish, I embellished my card with some iridescent jewels. I hope you liked this card! I could’ve easily used the frame image to make a very similar card. Thanks for visiting today! ~Caly

Really Beautiful card!!!!
Lovely use of the flowers to make the trellis and bold color that work beautifully together. I’m new to you and enjoyed how you showed the coloring and now to make that work.
