Copic Coloring WOW Factor
Hi readers! Today we have some fun inspiration from Sandy Allnock to show you how you can really add some WOW to your colored image!
Enjoy!
Hi everyone! It’s Sandy Allnock, back to visit with you again with some more Copic coloring fun. Today, though, we won’t be using markers as much as the tools to AMP UP our coloring!
I originally filmed the coloring of the whole image, but we’d have been here forever, so I’m just sharing the finishing touches with you here. You can do this on *any* image you’re coloring – flowers, people, scenes, monsters, snowmen. Anything can be amped up! Some of my favorite tools for that are the Copic Multiliner Pens now in the store, a white pen, and a colorless blender marker. Add on some Glossy Accents (did you know it comes in ateeny bottle? Less clogging!) and you can really make a stamped image SING.
Here’s the before and after of Tilda and Dexter the Dragon – I used the Nob Hill 6×6, Talk Bubbles, and Small Love You dies from Simon.
On the closeup, you can see the real difference all that detail makes – cleaning up edges, darkening shadow lines, adding texture to the dress, and that pop of white.
In this side view, even the shine of the Glossy Accents can be seen adding a little sparkle!
I hope you enjoy the video showing how to add all this delicious detail!
If you’d like to see the original coloring of the image, click either on my blog or over HERE to watch it on YouTube. See you next time!

Hey I already feel like a winner with those great coloring tips from Sandy!
Wow factor is right! Amazing work!
Wow! That was really cool to see that transformation :)
This little girl and dino are SO cute. You did a great job with the copic markers. I wonder if I would need to do the touch-ups on the heads since they will be covered up with the heads pop-dotted on top of the girl and dinosaur. I have been wondering where I could get some pop-dots that weren’t so thick. You answered my question. I’ll have to look for Tim H’s pop-dots. Thanks, Sandy.
This is great! I’ll be incorporating some of these tricks with my coloring, too! :)
This is phenomenal, Sandy! What a great job coloring and adding all of the detail. I would never have thought to use purples or blues for adding shadows to skin! Great idea! Love the way you used the Copic Multiliners to refine the image and popping up the faces and feet to add dimension! What a great card! Thank you for sharing your techniques!
Little bits really make
