Colorful Tim Holtz Happy Birthday Pennant Card by Cheiron Brandon
Hi friends! Happy Wednesday! I’m delighted to share this celebratory and happy card design by Cheiron Brandon using Tim Holtz stamps and Simon Says Stamp branded dies designed to coordinate! Be sure to read on for the details and enjoy!
Hi there! It’s Cheiron Brandon and I am thrilled to be here creating a card using some favorite Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous stamps along with the new coordinating dies from Simon Says Stamp. I love this Pennant set and think it looks even better when it is cut out and popped up. There are also dies included to cut out all the coordinating sentiments.
Today I created a really fun and easy birthday card using the Pennants stamps by stamping the Happy Pennant in some bright colors of Distress Inks. I used Mustard Seed, Blueprint Sketch, Wilted Violet, Crackling Campfire, and Cracked Pistachio. When the ink was dry, I cut the Pennants out using the coordinating dies. I knew I wanted to create a fun “pattern” with these cutouts so I added foam squares to the back of all of them and then arranged them in a pattern on my card. As you can see, I started slightly off center with the first pennant then arranged the other pennants around it, varying the colors and the way they titled with some hanging off the panel. When I was done, I turned the panel over and trimmed off any pieces that were hanging over.
Once the pennants were on, I stamped and die cut my sentiment, then added some Soapy Bubbles sequins to make it even more festive! To complete the card, I adhered the panel to a card base. I can’t wait to try this card again with different pennant and different color combinations.
